The night started out with a laid back set from CNTRST. They weren’t listed as playing but it turns out CNTRST is lead by Emma, the wife of Seven Lions.
The show started to heat up when Last Heroes took the stage next. They had a very high energy show with melodic and dark dubstep bangers. They are sure to only get bigger in the coming years.
Next up was Crystal Skies, boasting a couple of big tunes such as “On My Own” and “Never Change”, they picked up where Last Heroes left off. Starting with some heavy dubstep which encouraged lots of headbanging, there were also a couple of points for some chill tunes but not for long, they kept blasting off from where they started.
Jason Ross was next up. A personal favorite of mine, Ross brings emotional, dark, but an overall hopeful mix of Progressive House and Trance. He played some new music from his upcoming album, “1000 Faces”, set to release January 2020 on Ophelia Records. There were some older tunes in the mix as well as some Imogen Heap and Virtual Self to keep things exciting. Jason brings his own style to the table and always keeps the crowd eager for more.
Lastly was Seven Lions. The show was great, bringing such a variety of genres and energy. The energy was a reflection of the previous acts, but he brought even more to cap off the night with a burst of hard hitting music. Seven Lions played some favorites like “Freesol” and “Rush Over Me”, as well as some new music mixed in with some aggressive trance, dubstep, house, and more. Overall it was a really fun night. If you are looking for a headbangle-able EDM show to go to, but are open to the softer side of the world as well, don't miss a show from these acts.
